Situation
Research content moves constantly: it hooks to publications, partners, and compliance notes that do not all update on the same schedule. Editors needed Payload to stay the single source of truth, but visitors still expected a site that felt fast and easy to search.
What we focused on
- Structured content: Models for labs, partnerships, and long-form pieces so lists and detail pages did not drift from the CMS.
- Shared UI kit: Typography and module boundaries aligned with the science and product or retail sites, implemented once in the monorepo or shared package.
- SEO basics: Metadata and internal linking patterns agreed with the agency so research pages did not compete blindly with sibling segments.
Outcome
Research teams could update Payload without opening tickets for every paragraph, and the site stayed consistent with the wider web programme for that engagement.
